Our Contemporary Home furnish beautiful holiday accommodation for The Welbeck Estate
As a long standing tenant of the Welbeck Estate, we were delighted to collaborate with them on their recent Holbeck Farm Barns project, which converted existing farm buildings within the estate into five stunning self-catering holiday cottages.
Set amongst the rolling countryside of the Dukeries on the border of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, the barns are located in the picturesque village of Holbeck. Our Contemporary Home provided the indoor and outdoor furniture for the five contemporary barn conversions. The sleek interior of each barn had its own nod to the estate’s rich history and the building’s rural heritage, including an original brick water trough in one of the kitchen/diners.
The aim for the holiday barns was to create a relaxing retreat within this idyllic setting, so our high-quality, Scandi-Modern style furniture and pared-down colour palette lent itself perfectly to the project. You can see several of the products we feature on the website such as the Totem hall stand, Lewes sofas and Shoreditch coffee tables & dining tables. This was fleshed out with additional items from our complete range which can be seen in our showroom, which is just 2 miles from the barns.
Located within a private courtyard, Holbeck Farm Barns are an ideal base to explore what the Welbeck Estate has to offer; including the Harley Contemporary Art Gallery, The School Of Artisan Food, The Harley Cafe, Museum, Farm Shop and Welbeck Abbey Brewery among many other things. There are also a number of walking trails that can take you through parts of the estate, to the historic Creswell Crags or into the pretty village of Cuckney, home to Our Contemporary Home’s showroom.
