Description
Our Harris range of outdoor sofas and armchairs take the notion of Outdoor Living to a luxurious level.
The Harris sofa has been designed as a modern, comfortable contemporary outdoor sofa for two people. Perfect for gardens, terraces, decked areas, patios and balconies. Undeniably stylish, the outdoor sofa features a beautiful sweeping curve of the arm and gentle contouring of the back. The combination of the slate grey weave and the wooden base and legs, makes the Harris look stunning from any angle.
Outdoor sofa designed with quality in mind
We’ve designed the entire Harris range with the highest quality in mind. The frame is expertly woven by hand using an extremely durable synthetic core weave, which is weather and UV resistant. The sofa frame is made from powder-coated aluminium, providing strength without excessive weight. It’s then fitted onto a solid wooden base and legs crafted from high-quality plantation teak. These high-quality materials, combined with expert manufacturing techniques, ensure your Harris Outdoor Sofa will last for many summers.
The Harris comes complete with foam seat pad and fibre back cushions, available in a choice of olefin fabrics. All our outdoor pads are made to order, here in the UK by our own in-house upholstery department.
Our Olefin is a specialist outdoor fabric we import from Catalonia. It offers high resistance to fading, stains, and mould. While water resistant, it is not advisable to leave the pads out in sustained wet weather, which can occasionally happen here in the UK!
Maintenance of outdoor sofa
The beauty of the Harris Outdoor Sofa lies in its low maintenance. It is made in synthetic core weave, which is strand-like in shape; the flatter weave, as shown on our Tubby Outdoor Sofa range, is called peel, each having its own suitability for different shapes of outdoor furniture. Both of these weaves are easy to care for and can be left out all year round in whatever the UK weather can throw at us without affecting its strength of integrity. We recommend an annual deep clean with soapy water or a power washer and it will come up as fresh as spring blooms.
The outdoor teak on the base and legs will go an attractive silver grey colour after exposure to the elements; this is normal and for many people, desirable. Should you want to help retain the wood’s natural colour, then perhaps a coat of teak oil or UV protection oil should be considered; this, however, is a job that should be done every 6-12 months, depending on the product.
