The Carlo is an upholstered wooden armchair that’s on a similar scale to the Shoreditch Armchairs, but perhaps with more emphasis on classical contemporary design.

The Carlo armchair has been designed as a modern, contemporary armchair. Perfect for living spaces, bedrooms, hallways and larger communal spaces. Extremely comfortable and stylish, the Carlo with its petite hardwood frame is small and strong. 

Upholstered accent armchair, designed with quality in mind

Like all of our accent chairs, the key to the beauty of the Carlo is the combination of the welcoming fixed upholstery combined with the warmth of the exposed timber frame.

Upholstered by our skilled in-house team, the Carlo has an inner frame made of hardwood, this is complemented with sprung webbing and high quality seat and back foam to ensure maximum comfort. The made to order upholstery is available in any of our carefully chosen fabric ranges.

The beauty of timber

The external timber is made from an Indonesian hardwood called Meh, sometimes known as Trembesi. We use this hardwood because of its strength, tone and variation of grain. A good match for teak, it also sits well with oak.

We design our furniture with the intention of it being a lasting purchase. So a well constructed chair in strong timber is a vitally important part of this.

Imported from Indonesia, the timber used on these chairs meets strict FLEGT / EUTR regulations to ensure the legality of these valuable timber products.
